I was born Sabin Goodwin in Washington, DC and lived my entire life learning the streets and the rap industry.  I spent eight years in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Catholic School in SE Washington, D.C.  Then I attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts for two years; where I majored in theater.  There I met mega producer Derek Jackson and we created and performed a song for Quincy Jones' movie "Listen Up."  It was dedicated and performed for him by us at Duke Ellington on his visit.

After that I continued to make songs under the name "Shakem Down" for DC Scorpio, EU Band, Physical Wonder, Craig Mack, and KC and Jo-Jo.  Later I worked for Local #22 as a stage technician.  I worked at the Public Playhouse in Landover, MD where I did sound and lights for numerous companies like Alex Aliey, Wheel of Fortune, NBA Jams, Urban Bush Woman, The National Theater of the Deaf, Peter Pan, and many others for three years.  Then I continued my services at the MCI Center in Downtown Washington, DC.  Now at the age of twenty-seven, I'm currently working back with Derek Jackson making music that will change the face of rap and put DC on the map permanently.

Born Derek Jackson in Washington, DC.  I spent most of my childhood in the Metropolitan Area.  My love for music began with piano lessons at the age of seven and it still remains at the age of twenty-nine.  My passion was classical music, which I pursued while attending Duke Ellington's School of the Arts in Washington, DC for four years.  I competed in numerous piano competitions receiving many awards and performed for various youth groups and government agencies.  Soon after graduation, I entered Berlee's College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where I studied Film Scoring.

I later went on to financing my own music production with various artists and toured with a hip-hop group called Opus Akoben, (BMG), Paris, France.  I now reside in Washington, DC producing hits and music remains my top priority.
